Accommodation Roster

From November through to July each year is Franz Josef Glaciers busy season and accommodation in all forms is of a premium and very hard to find. For those unlucky not to have pre booked their accommodation requirements prior to their arrival.

Our intention in creating this page is to have a nominated Motel or other Accommodation unit within Franz Josef to hold an up to date record of rooms available. Where other motels or visitors can contact to find who has accommodation available and accommodation providers with rooms available can advertise their vacancies.

The concept being that each Motel or accommodation provider takes turn in collecting and coordinating the rooms available within Franz Josef glacier and out lying areas. This allows for accommodation providers having cancellations to let a particular person know they have room available this will then help other information providers direct people looking for last minute accommodation to a single point The Duty Accommodation.

If you Are an accommodation provider and want to give it a go then send your details through for which weeks you are willing to be the Duty accommodation office. to itwrks@slingshot.co.nz and be listed on the roster for that week. Note only accommodation providers participating in the Duty Roster can list their available rooms.
